Camping attached to one of Sweden's biggest waterparks
Gustavsvik is a city-edge resort in Örebro, ten minutes' walk from a large adventure bath complex with indoor and outdoor pools, slides, wave machines and a spa. The campsite itself is level, green and well serviced, popular with motorhome travellers crossing central Sweden and with families who want a guaranteed wet-weather plan. Örebro's castle and compact old centre are a short cycle away along the Svartån river, and Lake Hjälmaren is on the doorstep.
Value check: Water-park entry bundled with the pitch makes this good value for a two-night stopover.

It poured for three days and it did not matter at all. The waterpark is genuinely large. Site is unremarkable but clean, level and easy.

Stopped en route to Dalarna, stayed four nights. Cycle path into Örebro is lovely, the castle is worth an afternoon.

Everything close together, playground right there, waterpark walkable. Not a wilderness experience, but that was not what we needed.
