Terraced olive groves above the lake at Lazise
Piani di Clodia climbs a gentle hillside between Lazise and Cisano, so most pitches look down over the lake through terraces of olive trees. It is a large site that feels calmer than its size suggests, with a big pool complex including a lagoon pool and slides, a pebble beach at the bottom of the hill, several restaurants and a good bakery. The Lazise-to-Bardolino cycle path runs past the gate. It is a slightly more grown-up alternative to the Peschiera sites, without giving up the family facilities.
Value check: Cheaper than the Peschiera resorts for the same lake, with terraced pitches that hold the shade.

Every pitch has a view and a bit of shade from the olives. Pool complex is huge without feeling like a water park. Walk down to the lake in ten minutes.

Beautifully maintained. Be aware the site is genuinely on a hill — with a heavy caravan or reduced mobility, ask carefully about which terrace you are on.

Bike path straight to Lazise and Bardolino, wine tastings at the end of it. Genuinely one of the nicest weeks we've had in Italy.
